I fished a quick over night session and caught a few carp to just over 20lb. pretty simple tactics worked for me. PVA bags with pellets fished to clear areas in the weed with a few spods of particals. The weed was not that bad at all and a few casts with just a lead was need to find a clear patch.
The bottom seemed pretty hard and not silty and I used bottom baits, which came back in smelling pretty fresh.
The owners of the lake are really help full and its worth having a chat with them if you want tips!
