Stockton Reservoir - Dashboard
Used to be owned by British Waterways who have waters like Drayton and Clattercote but now leased by the owner of the Blue Lias pub. It has 66 wooden pegs, 4 islands to fish to (be careful as there are hidden reed roots round them) &alot of course species to fish for. Filled with Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Chub & Crucian Carp there is something for everyone. The Carp do go to upper double figures, Tench to 2-3lb, Crucians over a pound and some of the Chub are pushing 3lb. The lake does get a bit busy in the warmer months with there being matches especially on Sundays so check the board in the car park before fishing. Night fishing is now available on there to but theres not much sleep to have if you get the huge amount of Carp feeding. All baits work and will catch you fish along with all methods of fishing from pole fishing to big Carp tactics. It's good for a few bites in the coldest of winters to as long as you find the fish you will catch them.
A very easy water that may not be as prolific & easy as Drayton Reservoir with the average size of the Carp maybe smaller but its definatly worth a visit.
